Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the registration for, participation in, and attendance at Hacktech – Airport Chapter, an innovation and technology event held within the premises of Oradea International Airport (the “Event”).

The Event is organized by Make IT in Oradea, a legal entity duly incorporated under the laws of Romania, having its registered office at Emanuil Gojdu Square, no. 35, Oradea Fortress, ground floor, Romania, Bihor County, registered with the Trade Register under number 47/A/21.10.2020, fiscal identification code RO43347357 (the “Organizer”).

By registering for, attending, or otherwise participating in the Event, each participant (“Participant”) agrees to be legally bound by these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Data Protection Notice, and any other policies or instructions issued by the Organizer in relation to the Event, all of which form an integral part of the contractual relationship between the Organizer and the Participant.

  1. Eligibility and Registration

Participation in the Event is strictly limited to individuals who have successfully completed the registration process and have been expressly accepted by the Organizer. The Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to approve or reject any registration without obligation to provide justification, subject to applicable law.

Participants must be at least [minimum age, e.g. 18] years of age at the time of the Event. By registering, the Participant represents and warrants that all information provided during registration is accurate, complete, and up to date.

  1. Mandatory Identification and Security Requirements

Due to the Event taking place within an operational international airport and airport-restricted area, Participants are subject to mandatory aviation security regulations, access control procedures, and identity verification requirements imposed by Oradea International Airport and competent authorities.

Each Participant is required to provide valid, accurate, and complete identification data, including but not limited to a government-issued identity document, as specified during registration. Access to the Event premises shall be denied to any Participant who fails to comply with such requirements.

The Organizer shall bear no liability for any inability of a Participant to attend the Event resulting from incomplete, inaccurate, or rejected identification data.

  1. Acceptance of Airport Rules and Instructions

Participants acknowledge and agree that airport regulations, security instructions, and operational rules shall prevail at all times. Participants shall strictly comply with all instructions issued by airport authorities, security personnel, and the Organizer.

The Organizer reserves the right to immediately remove any Participant from the Event premises who fails to comply with applicable rules, poses a security risk, or disrupts airport operations, without entitlement to refund or compensation.

  1. Event Conduct and Code of Behavior

Participants shall behave in a professional, lawful, and respectful manner at all times. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, unsafe behavior, or any conduct deemed inappropriate by the Organizer is strictly prohibited.

The Organizer reserves the right to suspend or terminate a Participant’s participation without prior notice in case of breach of these Terms or applicable laws.

  1. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights related to the Event organization, branding, materials, website content, and documentation remain the exclusive property of the Organizer or its licensors.

Any intellectual property created by Participants during the Event remains the property of the respective Participants or teams, unless otherwise agreed in writing. By participating, Participants grant the Organizer a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to reference the Participant’s name, project title, and general description for Event documentation and promotional purposes.

  1. Media, Photography, and Recordings

The Event may be photographed, filmed, or recorded. By attending the Event, Participants acknowledge that they may appear in photographs, audio recordings, or video footage.

Where legally required, explicit consent for media usage shall be obtained in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Participants may withdraw consent by contacting the Organizer; however, such withdrawal shall not affect materials already lawfully produced.

  1. Health, Safety, and Liability

Participation in the Event is at the Participant’s own risk. The Organizer shall not be liable for any injury, illness, loss, damage, or theft of personal property, except where such liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Participants acknowledge that airport environments involve heightened safety and security risks and agree to act responsibly at all times.

  1. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Organizer shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profit, data, or opportunity, arising out of or in connection with participation in the Event.

The Organizer’s total liability, if any, shall in no case exceed the amount paid by the Participant for participation in the Event.

  1. Cancellation, Modification, and Force Majeure

The Organizer reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel the Event, in whole or in part, due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to security incidents, public authority decisions, weather conditions, or operational airport requirements.

In such cases, the Organizer shall not be liable for any additional costs incurred by Participants, including travel or accommodation expenses.

  1. Data Protection

Personal data are processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. By accepting these Terms, Participants acknowledge and agree to such processing.

  1. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Romania. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Romania.

  1. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

  1. Amendments

The Organizer reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. The updated version shall become effective upon publication on the official Event website.
