What Kind of Projects Are We Looking For?
This hackathon is dedicated to creating projects based on the 7 challenges launched by our partners: Brillio, Accesa, Talk-A-Bot, The Digital Innovation Hub in Transilvania, CargoTrack, Rimo3, FaithBase.
We’re seeking innovative, groundbreaking, AI-focused projects. You’re free to develop any software, hardware, or hybrid project that excites you, that will solve one of the challenges launched by our partners — think creatively, be bold, and surprise us! We promote a respectful and inclusive environment, so any inappropriate projects won’t be tolerated. Aim for something inspiring and impactful!
Can I Use Pre-Existing Projects or Code?
To keep the competition fair, all code must be developed during the event. While leveraging existing frameworks and libraries is allowed, your project will only be judged on the new work you create at HackTech.
Can I Change My Project after the Hackathon Starts?
Absolutely! If you need to pivot, if you got a new and better idea or you just want to try working on another challenge, sure, go for it! Just keep track of time to ensure you can complete it before the deadline.
Are There Restrictions on Programming Languages?
You can use any programming language you prefer. Whether you excel in one language or are multilingual in coding, your expertise and final product are what matter. Showcase your skills or even take this chance to learn something new!
How Will Projects Be Judged and What Are the Prizes?
Your projects will be evaluated by a panel of industry experts based on creativity and implementation. Each sponsor will choose a winner for their specific challenge, and the Oradea Tech Hub will award the Grand Prizes to the most exceptional projects. You can find the prize details on the home page of the website. The specific details and briefs for each challenge will be shared on Discord, together with the criterias for winning.

HackTech is more than just creating solutions—it’s about building a network. You’ll have ample opportunities to connect with industry professionals, potential employers, and like-minded individuals.
